ABOUT THOMAS

I was 12 years old when I discovered my passion for storytelling and I made crazy creative short videos.

During my period at the pre-vocational secondary education I made several short comic commercials with friends. This was the reason to continue my studies as an Audiovisual Specialist at the ROC Friese Poort in Drachten, The Netherlands. During this study period I professionalized myself as a video/filmmaker.

I started my audiovisual company, Gearbox Productions, because I know that I can make a difference for both the corporate world and the creative world. With this I want to convey a message and/or an emotion in image and sound, which people understand, feel and convince, which entertain, move or just make people happy.

In short: It's about something!

My camera work and editing is creative. I often see several possibilities to take my camera shots from different perspectives and angles, so that the image becomes more interesting for the viewer. I like to experiment with light and color to create the perfect atmosphere, in order to capture the best emotion in the image.
